Bayside Building Permits

If you’re planning on building a structure in Bayside (Northport Village Corporation), you are advised to contact the Town of Northport Code Enforcement Officer (webpage, [email protected] or 207-338-3819 x5) and read the Northport Village Corporation Zoning Ordinance.  The Northport Code Enforcement Officer is authorized to enforce the NVC’s Zoning Ordinance.  The Code Enforcement Officer will also be able to tell you what permits are required for your project.  Those permits may be found on the Town of Northport’s ordinances and permits page.

If you will be building near the water (including within 250 feet of the high-tide line), you must also abide by the Town of Northport’s Shoreland Zoning Ordinance, which includes very stringent guidelines on what construction (and clearing) may occur within the designated zone.

If you will require a sewer connection, please note that sewer connection are currently not allowed under the 2024 moratorium that runs from April 7 – October 6, 2024.
